You know what they say about "idle hands"....
Dan has been made redundant at his work in preparation for his leaving, so he now only has two more weeks of work...this is a composite picture created to best predict what Dan will be doing in his free time....this is Dan at our local gym "Pumping Up" whilst listening to Aneta Langerova "Number One Czech Superstar" (pictured) on his ipod...heaven help us all!!!!

BEAM US UP, SCOTTY!!

This is Danny and I filming a Star Trek themed video for our church, First Presbyterian, in Salinas...just thought this was funny...seeing as how we actually own these costumes...hee hee

The end is near...
This is my mom and my dad who have been divorced from each other for over 28 years and who haven't seen each other in almost a decade playing "Dance Dance Revolution" together at Bekah's 9th birthday party...I think this is a sign of the Apocalypse...

COULD IT BE????

Our house is FINALLY in escrow!!! We are excited (and nervous...that this will all come together, and scared that we are REALLY leaving). To be honest, we are on an emotional rollercoaster right now...we have wanted this for so long and now that we are staring at it right ahead of us, we are weak in the knees. Aren't human emotions funny? If all goes as planned we will close escrow on January 31st, and then head overseas around the middle of February....

CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK
San Jose CA

Danny took the day off work on Monday and we went to Christmas in the park in San Jose. It is a wonderful light and decoration display...they even have ice skating (too expensive for us poor folks) and a mini carnival with rides...We also saw the movie "Happy Feet" on the IMAX dome screen...pretty neat except the BO of the person in front of me seriously impaired my enjoyment of the film....We had a wonderful day and it felt very Christmasy (is that a word?)

Grandad and his girls
December 2006

Reunion...
My dad, John George, from Arizona came to visit for the weekend of Rebekah's birthday. We hadn't seen him in 7 years (Bekah was two) and he hadn't yet met Roxie...I was a little nervous at first but also very excited to see him. It ended up being such a great visit, and the girls took to him so well. He was really great with them and they had alot of fun together. He even offered to babysit the girls while we went to Danny's Christmas party...and they had a blast together..it is a pity that we hadn't done this sooner, but I am glad that we finally did make it happen.

Danny and I went to a shop today to purchase a few yummy foodstuffs. The cashier lady, wanting to make conversation, said to us, "Boy you two know how to snack!"...Wow...we are "SNACKERS"! We were laughing so hard...to think that we will be known for our snacking abilities! This is great stuff to put on a resume...it's so important to go with your gifts...y'know?

Happy Birthday Bekah!!!
9 years old on December 2 2006
Bekah was so pleased that we were in the US for her birthday...she had a big party with so many friends and the hugest bounce house I have ever seen. My Dad who lives in Arizona came out...he hadn't seen us in 7 years and it was a real treat for Bekah. Plenty of pizza, cake and presents. What a great day for our "pre-teen" kid. I can't believe that she is a "tweenie" already...makes me feel old....
