BACK TO SCHOOL!!!

As most of you know I have been homeschooling the girls, and really quite enjoyed it...We had planned on leaving for the Czech Republic in August, and as that is not happening, I had assumed I would homeschool until we left for CZ. Well, on August 10th, Danny and I were talking and it just came out that maybe we should put the girls in public school even if for only a couple of months. The next day I registered them for University Park elementary school. Rebekah is in a 4/5 grade combo class and Roxie is in kindergarten. They both have excellent teachers and really fun classrooms. We both feel that God intervened here and made this decision for us...to what end and purpose we don't know, but we do know that he loves our girls with an perfect love and has a perfect plan for them...and it seems school is a part of it! :)

This is a picture of our friends Travis and Stacy Sharpe(and their new baby,Noah). They are volunteer Christian workers in Bosnia-Herzegovina with Operation Mobilization since 2001. Travis and I (Krista) worked together as pastoral staff for First Baptist Church (he was the youth pastor and I the childrens pastor). We have seen these two court, get married and head off to full time missions. It has been a pleasure and an honor to be their friends and to follow them on this path towards missions. I can't tell you what an encouragement and a source of wisdom they have been for us. We had the privilege of having them at our house this weekend. We spent our time catching up and grilling them on the life of a missionary in Eastern Europe...for more info on the Sharpes go to http://web.mac.com/tsharpe/
