A Walk through our Town (3 of 4)

While Czech may be ranked as the second most difficult language for Americans to learn (behind Mandarin), looking at this sign I suspect most people could understand it without any knowledge of the Czech language. Going from top to bottom, the obvious translations are "Sport Area", "Tennis Center" (duh), "Soccer Stadium" (remember, on this side of the Atlantic football means soccer), "Ice Rink", "Tennis Courts", "Baseball Park", and "Golf Course".This sign shows I am now 6 km from my destination, Ceske Vrbne. Note that the "r" in Vrbne is used as a vowel here.
Again, looking at this billboard I think I speak perfect Czech.

A rather lonely golf hole on this below-freezing morning.

Oops - I guess Czech isn't always so easy. This sign says "We wish you a nice game". The Czechs are so polite.
