cultivating virtue
responsibility

Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired. Mother Teresa
There are these teenage boys at school that totally bug me. They act super weird and get all in my personal space bubble. I usually just roll my eyes at them and ignore them or make a face. I feel lucky that I don't have to teach them. Normally, I try to avoid them. Today, after reading Mother Teresa's quote, I am wondering if being unfriendly is the way to handle this. Perhaps a simple smile on my face would be a better way to convey the love that God wants us to have for all...but this smile paired with quick moving feet to make a hasty get away would be the order of the day.
We all have people in our life that make us crazy. My daughter, Rebekah has been shackled to her seatmate at school and drives Rebekah completely bonkers. With wisdom extending beyond her years, Rebekah told me that one day she looked at her seatmate and wondered how Jesus would have treated her. How Jesus would have loved her. And then set out to do the same. Rebekah told me that wearing a "WWJD" bracelet is dumb, but really thinking about how He acts and what He does is a good thing to put into practice. Cool.
