daybook
february 2

Outside my window... the sun is shining which makes all of the snow sparkle like glitter. Sunglasses are a must! We have many fields surrounding our house which are acting as giant mirrors...blinding.

I am thankful for... Rebekah having a good day at school.

From the kitchen...I am tired...tomato soup with shredded cheddar cheese sprinkled on top and served with crackers.

I am wearing...a light purple fitted v neck top with charcoal gray pinstripe pants and a crystal heart necklace given to me by my friend for my birthday.

Pondering these words..."You don't have to be a genius to understand these things. Just use your common sense, the kind you'd use if, while being taken to court, you decided to settle up with your accuser on the way, knowing that if the case went to the judge you'd probably go to jail and pay every last penny of the fine. That's the kind of decision I'm asking you to make."
Luke 12:57-59
We are guilty, deserving to be punished to the full extent of the law. But Christ came to set us free, a full pardon is ours if only we believe.

I am going...to bed early tonight. I am not sleeping well on my new heart medication. Bleah...

I am reading...the sequel to "Old Man's War" entitled "The Ghost Brigades" by John Scalzi...Lovin' it
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ghost_Brigades

I am hoping...for more wisdom as a teacher. I really want to teach them well and be a kind and loving teacher who makes an impact on their lives for God.

I am hearing...Roxie constructing some paper craft. I hear the unique sound Scotch tape makes as it is pulled and then ripped. I kind of like that sound.
Around the house...we are planning to turn our under-the-stairs storage nook into a hideout. The girls have drawn up plans, including, but not limited to: murals, lighting scheme, furnishings, storage solutions, flooring and relaxation resolutions (pillows and blankets). Or one of them could just live there a la Harry Potter.

One of my least favorite things...Dan spending the night at the OM base as he teaches til quite late tonight and then has an early morning meeting. I miss him already. I don't like that he works nights and I work days. I don't often see him.

A few plans for the rest of the week: visiting my friend, Petra, going to the doctor (anyone's guess if he'll actually be there), taking the bus to swimming lessons.

A picture thought I am sharing...

These signs are everywhere at the entrances to the forests. Danger of falling trees! Entry on your own risk!!! Please ask a native speaker if you said that correctly before you print up a bunch of signs!!!
