invitation to a changed life
cleansing

The rain is cleaning away things that had been buried under frozen mounds of snow for months, eons. Forgotten things, ugly things, dirty things. Now washed away by warm, sun sparkling rain. Laughter, children giggling, shrieking, while trying to hide from a sudden downpour. It lasts only a moment, but nevertheless, cleanses the soul. Sun shining, warm on bare rain-soaked skin, like a blanket which comforts and protects and reminds one of carefree childhood days.

Within me are forgotten things, buried things, a dryness that rivals the desert. Parched I am and in need of refreshment. Rain on me, Abba Father. Come to me and bring me what I need.
