Brusleni na rybniku

Iceskating on the lake

Today is Christmas Eve and we went iceskating on the huge lake by our house. Last week there were ducks in this lake and today there are people on it. This is the girls' first iceskating experience and for Danny and I it has been over two decades since we donned iceskates. Tonight we will be with friends eating carp and fish soup (the traditional Czech Christmas dinner) and exchanging presents. We are really missing family, but iceskating on a frozen lake sure helped take our mind off of our sadness. Merry Christmas to all, and much love to our family and friends who are so far away.

Roxie is so awesome. Hey I'm just going to lay here for a second and say Hi. No worries, I'm back up now and ready to skate. Rebekah is pretty darn good. It almost makes me jealous that you have a frozen lake to skate on. Umm, but then I'd be cold and I think I don't like cold so much.

God Bless you guys and stay warm.
