Outside my window...it is snowing. I am glad.
I am thankful for...being home. I am tired...do you like my wiped out angel pic above??? I totally relate to this weariness! I think the dead of winter is getting to me. Time to hibernate!
From the kitchen...believe it or not, I am making brownies. I looked back on these previous posts and realized that on Tuesdays I am always baking. That is because every Tuesday our friends come over so I am always baking for them.
I am wearing...a dark turquoise blouse, black pinstriped trousers, a long strand of black beads and a huge gunmetal gray ring.
Pondering these words... "If you can't gratefully work with what God's given you today, how can He entrust you with much tomorrow?"
I am going...to try to be stricter with all of my classes. They are starting to test boundaries. It is half-term and I think everyone has had it. I notice that each day things are a little worse. Gotta whip them in shape or no fruit cup!!!!!!
I am reading...Pirate Latitudes by Michael Crichton (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pirate_Latitudes).
He finished the book before he died and it was released posthumously. I was really bummed the day that I found out he died. He is one of my favorite authors. Knowing there will never be anymore books by him is a huge downer. Having said that, Dan just heard that Chrichton had another work half finished. They are hiring another author to complete it. I wonder how that will be. This weekend I just finished reading Old Man's War by John Scalzi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Man's_War). That was an awesome book...loved it!! Great science fiction with lots of aliens. I hear there are a couple of sequels to it.
I am hoping...that I can hang in there until GLEE starts back up in April.
I am hearing...Rebekah comment on Roxie's schoolwork. Roxie is making a cardboard cat that resembles ours. Apparently, Rebekah doesn't completely approve of the outcome. But, it seems that now they are working it out. Whew...
Around the house...we are planning to turn our under-the-stairs storage nook into a hideout. The girls have drawn up plans, including, but not limited to: murals, lighting scheme, furnishings, storage solutions, flooring and relaxation resolutions (pillows and blankets). Or one of them could just live there a la Harry Potter.
One of my favorite things...my glow-in-the-dark skeleton Swatch watch. I dig it! At our school we cannot turn the lights on due to financial constraints. The hallways are almost pitch black. Going up and down the stairs can be hazardous. My watch keeps us safe and my 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders entertained on the journey to the English classroom.
A few plans for the rest of the week: Swimming classes for the girls. Walking to the bus stop. Riding the bus. Swim for an hour. Walk back to the bus stop. Ride the bus home. In the freezing cold. In the dark. Hope their hair doesn't get wet in the pool.
Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
