life in this republic
two down, two to go

104° fever, chills, pain, newfound appreciation for the inventor of the toilet. Dan had his day Thursday evening and Friday. Roxie, Friday evening and today. Rebekah and I are waiting to see who will be next. I am keeping up with laundry and dishes in preparation for my being taken down. Rebekah has OCD when it comes to being around sick people. Last time I had the flu, I was on the bathroom floor sick, sweating, dying. I begged her to bring me a moist cloth to wipe my feverish forehead. She managed to soak one, fling it at me and run away. Florence Nightengale reborn. Last night she slept in the computer room and has, in effect, sequestered herself from the "sickies". Strangely, I am hoping that we just come down with it to get it over with. More and more children at school are getting sick, and teachers, too. We have visitors coming in two weeks. I don't want to be sick while they are here...so, flu, bring it on...

Tony had swine flu in October and I've had regular flu twice since then, hopefully our immunities are up!
