the garden of gethsemane, řimov, česká republika

daybook

Outside my window...darkness. It's 5:30 am. I am wondering what the weather will be like. It could be windy and raining or sunny and warm. (it is now 3pm and sunny and warm!)

From the kitchen...carrot cake

I am wearing...dark blue jeans, a white tee, red fitted jacket and naby blue wedge heels with big bows on the toes.

Pondering these words...'Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the Easter people and hallelujah is our song!'~ John Paul II

I am thankful for...my husband having evenings off this week. It makes going back to school after Easter break a bit more bearable.

I am going...on a family hike this evening.

I am reading...the Twilight series again. When I run out of new books I frequently pick up an old one. I don't do well without a book to read. There is something about knowing you have a book to come home to that is comforting to me.

I am hearing...soft snoring coming from both bedrooms.

Around the house...trying to decide whether to kick the cat, Scriffers, out or not. He has ticks...must look into anti-tick something or other.

I am hoping...that I can teach today with joy in my heart knowing that I do all things to serve my Lord.

"And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him. And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." Colossians 3:17 & 23

One of my favorite things...tea time today with my girls. We are continuing our study of virtues and we will be serving that same carrot cake.

A few plans for the rest of the week: drop our car off at the mechanic's in the neighboring village and then walk 2 hours home. If it isn't pouring this is a fun walk through forests and meadows teeming with loping deer and scurrying pheasants.

A picture thought I am sharing...

Why, o why can you not have someone check your spelling before you print, like, 10,000 of these??
