Bekah has been in school for 5 months now. She goes to the third grade which in the Czech Republic is considered a very difficult grade as the bulk of this intricate grammar is introduced. The Czech language has 7 cases (which means every noun, adjective and pronoun changes seven different ways depending on how it is used). It also has a ton of words that change meaning with a million different prefixes and suffixes. It is barely comprehensible. Plus it has a "Y" and and "I" character that sound exactly the same but change the meaning of the word. Even czech adults find this difficult. Well, Bekah has just taken her midterm exams and she has received an "A" in Math, an "A" in Social Studies and a "B" in Czech Language. We couldn't be prouder as she is accomplishing all of this with the huge disadvantage of being a Czech language learner. It goes without saying that everything she is doing, reading, learning, hearing is all in Czech...WAY TO GO BEKAH!!! We are so proud of you!!!
