Kara's Cupcakes, San Francisco
Let me just preface this post by saying I love cupcakes. I mean it. Love. So two and a half years ago when I read on a Martha Stewart website about this famous cupcake store, I filed the info away knowing that one day we would be back in America and
I would go there. To a place where exist only cupcakes. A dreamland, nirvana. We found Kara's cupcakes on an unassuming street in SF. We went in and admired the case filled with delicious tiny cakes all vying for my attention. We each ordered a cupcake and milk. I had a coffee chocolate one. I don't remember what the others had, I don't care. I loved my cupcake. While I was eating it it was my friend. I wanted another. I didn't care that they were the most expensive flour-based 3 ounces known to man. So I boldly ordered more cupcakes in other flavors to go...as our lunch. I find that one can substitute a meal with a cupcake. They were moist and flavorful. My favorite was vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. I ate that one in the car.

Hahaha, us Pastry Chefs love people like you Krista! Dare I ask hoe pricey these were? For reference you know?! We'll out to Kara when I visit! ;-)
