Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. Romans 12:2
From ugly bulb, a really rotten, putrid looking thing to glorious bloom. Who would have thought that this unnattractive mound could grow something so splendid. God did. He sees the potential beauty within the bulb, just as He sees the beauty within us. Because He created us in His beautiful image. But we are encased in this mortal trapping and struggle to be free, to be beautiful, to resemble our Creator. Yesterday was for me a "bulb day"...dull, ugly, awkward. I desperately needed God to transform me into a new person...by changing the way I think. After the girls and I wrote out the day's Gratitude List I saw how God used that to transform me be changing my perspective. It is very difficult to be grumpy and discontent, "bulby", whilst writing a long list of things to be thankful for.
Even more, I was able to share my transformation with my colleagues at work...how God miraculosly peels away the outer layers to reveal the beautiful core that He planted so long ago within us.
