daybook
july 6

Outside my window...sunshine, heat, humidity and the occasional dark foreboding cloud accompanied by a thunderclap

From the kitchen...steamed zucchini from our garden

I am wearing...beige and cream pinstripe shorts and a salmon cotton tank top

Pondering these words...I'm after love that lasts, not more religion. I want you to know God, not go to more prayer meetings. Hosea 6:7

I am thankful for...getting caught in the rain and drenched.

I'm going...to Český Krumlov today.

I am reading...Old Man's War by John Scalzi (again)

I am hearing...Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. It is Free Time at Camp Coyan so Roxie is finishing a movie that she started yesterday.

Around the house...plans are underway to redecorate the girls' room on the cheap. They have drawn out their plans and made their lists. We start this week. From boring to brilliant...

I am hoping...that I can figure out why some of my squash plants' leaves are turning yellow. No aphids, no white flies, no fungus...maybe something in the soil??

A few plans for the rest of the week: Conversation Cafe on Wednesday...a free service for our community that Dan and I are doing. An hour of English conversation and coffee. Tomorrow's topic...events that have changed history.

A picture thought I am sharing:

a view of Český Krumlov
